Testb\u00e6nkens kerne best\u00e5r af en hydraulisk vindlastenhed ogs\u00e5 kaldet en Test Load Unit (TLU), som kan p\u00e5l\u00e6gge fem lastkomposanter i form af aksial-, radial- og vertikallast, samt kr\u00f8je- og tilt moment, samtidig med at testb\u00e6nkens direct drive motor kan p\u00e5l\u00e6gge torsionsmomenter. Alt dette til sammen simulerer til ekstremerne de vindforhold, som en offshore vindm\u00f8lle bliver udsat for i sin levetid. P\u00e5 baggrund af de forskellige tests, kan Vestas evaluere, hvordan prototyperne klarer sig, og hvor der eventuelt er ting, som skal forberedes.\r\n\r\nI fredags var teamet fra Vestas og alle medarbejderne fra R&D Test Systems inviteret til fejring p\u00e5 Oliehavnen, hvor den nye store testb\u00e6nk blev officielt indviet.
