Derudover er en specialdesignet lastenhed placeret mellem nacellekomponenterne og giver de vindbelastninger, der er n\u00f8dvendige for at simulere de varierende vindforhold, som vindm\u00f8llen vil blive udsat for i virkligheden. Sammen kan motorerne og lastenheden simulere ikke kun de h\u00e5rdeste vindbelastninger, men ogs\u00e5 effekten af \u200b\u200bvind, der kommer fra forskellige retninger.\r\n\r\nP\u00e5 trods af en v\u00e6gt p\u00e5 5700 tons og med et drivmoment p\u00e5 45 millioner Nm \u2013 svarende til lasten af \u200b\u200b30 familiebiler, der dingler fra enden af \u200b\u200ben 100 meter lang vindm\u00f8llevinge \u2013 og et b\u00f8jningsmoment p\u00e5 op til 64 millioner Nm, kan testb\u00e6nken h\u00e5ndtere test komponenter af forskellige dimensioner.\r\n\r\nTestriggen vil blive udviklet p\u00e5 R&amp;D Test Systems\u2019 hovedkontor i Danmark. Ud over el-, system-, software- og maskiningeni\u00f8rer vil projektet tr\u00e6kke p\u00e5 civilingeni\u00f8rekspertise til det armerede betonfundament, der skal v\u00e6re st\u00e6rkt nok til at modst\u00e5 den ekstreme udmattelse og ultimative vindbelastninger under tests samt selve drivtoget, der kan vejer flere hundrede tons.\r\n\r\nEt team p\u00e5 35 fuldtidsansatte ingeni\u00f8rer arbejder lige nu p\u00e5 at udvikle testsystemet sammen med internationale specialistleverand\u00f8rer. Testb\u00e6nken vil blive transporteret som individuelle moduler til Belgien. Projektet g\u00f8r brug af R&amp;D Test Systems\u2019 interne softwareudviklingsteam, som vil skabe v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til analyse af testdata.
